Denmark national team is one of traditional and successful national teams in Europe that is governed by Denmark Football Association. The team once won European Nations Cup which has been changed European Football Championship since 1968. It is qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and will play games in Group C with France, Peru, Australia national teams.
In order to play friendly matches with Panama and Chile in late March, 2018, Denmark national team announced the latest line-up, including Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eriksen, Nicklas Bendtner, Kasper Schmeichel and so on.
Christian Eriksen was born on 14 February 1992 in Middelfart, Denmark. An attacking midfielder for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and Denmark national team, Eriksen transferred to Tottenham Hotspur on 30 August 2013 and made his debut for his country in March 2010. He became the youngest player of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, aged 18 years and four moths.
In 2013-14 season, Eriksen scored 12 goals and had 16 assists during his 41 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur. In 2015-16 season, he helped the club win the game against Sunderland AFC and got the runner-up of Football League Cup, one of the three top-tier domestic football competitions in England, alongside Premier League and FA Cup.
Eriksen has played for Denmark U-17, U-18 and U-19 national teams. On 15 November 2017, he completed a “hat trick” in a 2018 World Cup qualifier against Ireland national team, helping Denmark become the 30th team to qualify for the World Cup held in 2018.
A talented footballer, he has got the Danish U-17 Talent of the Year award in 2008, Danish Talent of the Year award in 2010 and 2011 and Tottenham Hotspur Player of the Year award in the 2013-14 and 2016-17 seasons.
